Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Course

It’s unfortunate that we live in a world where we have to worry about an active shooter event taking place anywhere we go. The best way to prepare for an active shooter event and protect yourself and others is to educate yourself on the best practices. 

The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course is a FREE 2-hour seminar designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004. CRASE provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. The FBI considers ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Reponse Training) the national standard for active shooter events. CRASE is a lecture-based course geared towards civilians and coincides with ALERRT material. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, medical issues, and drills.

When: April 5, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: 701 Queen City Parkway – Gainesville, GA 30501 (in the Municipal Courtroom)
Cost: This event is free to the public, but space is limited and you must RSVP to attend.
