JLGHC 2016 Signature Project Grant

The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County is currently working to select 2016’s Signature Grant finalists. Total funds available for the 2016 grant cycle are $75,000, which may be awarded as a single grant or multiple grants.

Annually, the League sets aside a portion of the proceeds from major fundraisers such as Charity Ball and Thrift Sale for the purpose of awarding the Signature Project Grant every five years. The grant traditionally goes to a project or program which directly promotes the League’s mission of improving the community and promoting the well-being of children and families. Past grant recipients include:

• 2011: Gateway Domestic Violence Center Transitional Housing Project
• 2006: Sonrise Camp Sensory Integration Trail
• 2001: Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County “The Joseph F. Walters Club” Facility

In August of 2015, agencies/programs wishing to be considered for the Grant submitted an initial Letter of Intent. The agencies/programs determined to best align with the mission and vision of the League were invited to submit a full application package.
