March 9th – 13th, 2020
League members will be wearing a single black dress for five consecutive days to illustrate the effects poverty can have on a woman’s access to resources, confidence and opportunities. Each member will also be wearing a pin that says, “Ask Me about the Dress,” to spark conversation and spread awareness of the initiative and its objectives. Each participating member has a sponsorship page on the Fundraiser website where donations can be made to support this initiative.

This year The League has partnered with Porch Sense to create an exclusive candle just for the Little Black Dress Initiative. LBDI candles are being sold at Riverside Pharmacy, Wool & Flax, Gypsy Threads, and Downtown Draft. Proceeds from candle sales will go towards this year’s LBD campaign.
This year, The League is hosting an End of LBDI Week Celebration. Please join us at Cork It on March 12th at 6:00 pm for a fun Thursday night to celebrate the hard but rewarding work of LBDI week!
