Belles of ball to raise funds for charity at annual event

The Gainesville/Hall County Junior League members will get dressed to the nines to raise money at its annual charity ball in Gainesville.

The 64th annual Charity Ball will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Chattahoochee Country Club, 3000 Club Drive. The theme will be “The Gatsby Ball” and feature the band, Massive Impact.

During the formal event, civic organizations in the Hall County area support a Belle candidate whom is responsible in raising funds for Feeding Our Future, a Junior League-sponsored program focused on feeding families who are in need. The Belle candidate who raises the most funds will be crowned “Belle of the Ball.”

The six Belle candidates representing the following local civic organizations are: North Hall High School senior Carlee Shope, representing Gainesville Rotary; Lakeview Academy senior Shannon Waddell, representing Braselton Rotary; Lakeview Academy senior Mikenzie VerSteeg, representing South Hall Rotary; Gainesville High School senior Susanna Sartain, representing Gainesville Jaycees; Gainesville High School senior Sara Grace Couvillon, representing Gainesville Kiwanis Club; and Lakeview Academy senior Emmy Stephens, representing Lanierland Civitan Club.

Tickets are $75 per person or $150 per couple and include two drink tickets per person and a signature drink. No one younger than 21 is allowed admission into the ball.
