During the week of March 19-23, The Junior League of Gainesville- Hall Co, Inc. is launching The Little Black Dress Initiative; an awareness campaign, which will seek to increase knowledge around the limits poverty can play on choices of expression and opportunities, by asking our members to wear one black outfit for a week.

Poverty limits your resources, your options for housing and employment, and even the ways you can express yourself – making it harder for you to better your life chances. Wearing one single outfit for an entire week will highlight the effects that limited resources can play on your quality of life.

Please consider making a donation to this meaningful cause; all funds raised from the LBDI will be donated to one of our community partners, Good News Clinics.

The campaign week will wrap-up with a celebration at Left Nut Brewing Co. on March 23rd. LNB will be graciously donating a portion of proceeds from that evening to LBDI. Join us for food and live music from 6:00-10:00 pm!

How can I be involved in the Little Black Dress Initiative?

Sign up to participate in the 5 day fundraising campaign.  Participants pledge to wear a single black dress from March 19-23 and utilize social media to bring awareness to poverty issues in our community and direct family and friends to their fundraising page.  To set up your personal fundraising page visit, http://lbdi-ghcjl2018.causevox.com/.
