Who We Help

The membership of the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County is devoted to making the community a much better place to live by being a resource for this area’s non-profit organizations. This year, active League members will provide over 2200 hours of service to community agencies in line with the League's mission and over $130,000.00 will be awarded to local agencies supported by the Junior League. Organizations who benefit financially or through our volunteers include Challenged Child and Friends, the Good News Community Health Center, Gateway House, the Edmondson Telford Center for Children, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County as well as many others.

Additionally, the League reserves a percentage of monies raised from each fundraiser and every 5 years we are able to provide a Signature Grant to a deserving non-profit agency or major League project. The first Signature Grant of $30,000 was awarded to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hall County in 2000-2001.  In 2005-2006, we awarded Sonrise Camp $50,000.  Please see the link below for more information on what these Signature Grants have helped local agencies do to help make our community a little better for children and families.

We look forward to continuing to provide both volunteer hours as well as financial support to those organizations that provide much needed services to this community.  A third Signature Project Grant will be awarded during the 2010-2011 League year.  Stay tuned for more information on this exciting opportunity!
