Providing Training Opportunities to Local Non-Profits

Thank you to the more than 100 members of the community involved with nonprofit organizations, from volunteers, to board members, to executive directors and staff, as well as management teams from local businesses, who gathered to listen and learn from nationally recognized trainer and motivator, Vicki Clark, in January 2010.  Ms. Clark facilitated training on "Mission Driven Leadership:  Boards and Executive Directors Working Together to Change Lives."  This information was timely and invaluable, and the Junior League is proud to have arranged this training session to benefit our community. A copy of the materials prepared by Ms. Clark and used in the training are available by clicking the following green link: Mission Driven Leadership by Vicki Clark, Jan. 2010

Our Mission and Vision:

The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County is committed to making Northeast Georgia a better place for children and families. Acting as a catalyst for positive change, we seek new opportunities to impact our community.

We are dedicated to projects that promote the well being of children and families. Active members volunteer time (each more than 40 hours per year ) to community organizations and programs including mentoring through Center Point and the Boys and Girls Club, CASA, INK, Elachee Nature Science Center, the Children's Center for Hope and Healing and many more. The League also donates more than $90,000 on average in financial support to the community through grants to agencies aligned with its mission.
